Short Bio:
Maame Esi Nkrumah Abamfo is an emerging energy, climate, and natural resource professional with a strong foundation in energy law, policy, and environmental governance. She holds a Master’s degree in Energy Law, Policy, and Practice and has developed expertise across electricity regulation, upstream petroleum management, mining policy, and ESG frameworks. Her experience spans legal research, strategy, and project management within Ghana’s energy and environmental landscape. She has collaborated with institutions such as the Ministry of Energy, Prime Frontier, Youth Climate Council Ghana, and the Ghana Youth Biodiversity Network—contributing to research, policy analysis, and sustainability-focused initiatives. She is passionate about advancing energy transition solutions, strengthening governance structures, and ensuring equitable development across Africa’s resource sectors. Her work reflects a commitment to community-centered impact, climate resilience, and empowering young people through advocacy, education, and leadership. Maame Esi has participated in high-level fellowships such as the Future Africa Scholars Program and has spoken on platforms addressing biodiversity, climate challenges, and youth leadership. Her goal is to become a leading energy and international law expert, driving innovative and inclusive solutions in Africa’s energy future.
